Eggshells can be used in succulent gardens. Overgrowth and lack of sunlight make it leggy resulting in weak and slender stems with low production of flowers. Only water when the top few centimetres of the compost are dry and water very sparingly in winter.
In the winter a splash of water is enough every fourteen days.
For best results keep your kalanchoe in temperatures of 45 to 65 F 7 to 18 C at night and 50 to 70 F 10 to 21 C during the day. Use a clay pot to plant the kalanchoe. Then plant them in well-potted perlite-peat mixed soil. Get your kalanchoe to re-bloom.
