Zygocactus Care. Placing a tray of pebbles filled with water beneath the Christmas cactus container is a good way to add more humidity to the home. When watering give the plant a good drink and let the top of the soil dry out before the next watering.
They do not need much attention. Most problems with zygocactus care comes from overwatering. 15-21 C with average to high humidity levels.
Too much water can rot the plant.
If you repot them every 3 years you can get away with very little to no additional fertiliser at all. Position in hole in centre of pot and backfill with potting mix gently firming down. For example if the plant is in 6 inches of soil water when the top 2 inches feel dry. Most problems with zygocactus care comes from overwatering.
